Egger system: Mixing on pallets

This system uses robots to mix a wide variety of beverage products on pallets.
The mixing pallet is a Euro carrier pallet on which either 2x Düsseldorf pallets (= 2x half a pallet) or 4x 1/4 pallets or 4 trollies can be placed.
The same mixing robot must also be used to dispose of the intermediate layers after each layer.
New intermediate layers for the Düsseldorf pallets and egg trays for the 1/4 pallets must also be placed.

Products/grippers

There are currently five different products, each of which is mixed according to type:

  1. PET bottle gripper 1.5 l, 6-pack shrink-wrapped (clamping gripper on the neck, output 6,000 bottles per hour with 2-3 types. 4,950 bottles per hour for 4 types).
  2. PET suction pad for single bottles 0.75 l, output 4,700 pcs.
    per hour
  3. PET suction pad for single 0.5 l bottles, output 5,600 pcs.
    per hour
  4. Glass cluster fork gripper 0.33l, output 4,900 pcs.
    per hour
  5. Glass 0.5 l returnable, 6-pack carrier.
    Output 3.350 pcs.

Application

The carrier mixing pallet is fed via pallet dispensers.

The pallets 2 x Düsseldorf pallets or 4 x 1/4 pallets or 4 x Trollys are placed on the carrier mixing pallet with another robot.

After stacking, the mixed pallets are moved to the wrapping robot.

At this station, the Düsseldorf pallet, the 1/4 pallets or trolleys with fork grippers are now removed by a third robot.

The pallet is then placed in a ring wrapper and wrapped.

For example, the 1/4 pallets are wrapped 4 times and placed back on the carrier pallet, and the entire pallet is wrapped again.

The mixing plant is loaded and unloaded using AGV weighing systems (driverless transfer carts).
