Gripper
The right grippers are crucial to the success of robotic solutions.
EEP-Robotics develops, produces and tests all delivered grippers for the respective application.
The economic and technical optimum between multifunctional gripper, interchangeable gripper with gripper station and special gripper is sought.

Grippers as indispensable helpers
Do you want to take your processes to the next level?
Then rely on the support of EEP-Robotics.
A robot arm alone cannot do any work – only with the right “fingers”, the so-called grippers, does it become an indispensable helper.
Equipped with grippers, the robot can securely grip, hold and precisely move a wide variety of objects.
Whether it’s transporting objects from one place to another, placing them precisely or turning and rotating them – our grippers make it possible.

How does a gripper work?
Transporting goods is one of the most common tasks in robotics.
In order for the robot to establish a stable connection to the goods, it needs a suitable gripping tool. The gripper does the actual work by securely gripping, enclosing and holding the object. There are different types of gripper depending on the size and requirements of the workpiece.
Finger grippers that are capable of two-finger, three-finger parallel or centric gripping already cover a wide range of industrial applications.
Whether palletizing, packaging or loading machines – two-finger grippers with individually adjustable fingertips are used for pick-and-place tasks in particular, ensuring maximum precision.
Our grippers can also handle larger loads and thus relieve people of heavy tasks.
Box grabs, which are often used in the shipping sector, are mounted on cranes, for example, and effortlessly transport boxes and cartons through warehouses.
We offer the right gripper solution for almost every application: from mechanical grippers and vacuum grippers to magnetic grippers – the choice of the right system depends on the specific requirements and the properties of the objects to be handled.

What types of robot grippers are there?
Robotic grippers – also known as end-of-arm tooling – can be divided into four main types: mechanical, pneumatic, magnetic and adhesive grippers.
Each type works on its own principle to meet specific requirements in different industrial applications.
Mechanical grippers
work in a similar way to pliers or human hands by clamping the object with the necessary force.
Sensors can be integrated in order to handle even sensitive parts safely.
Three-finger grippers can handle different types of grip and are versatile, for example in pick-and-place applications, palletizing or machine loading.
They offer high precision and adaptability.
Pneumatic grippers
use vacuum cups or suction cups to suck in and move objects with compressed air.
They are ideal for workpieces that need to be handled with particular care, such as glass or CDs.
They are also frequently used in the packaging industry, as they can adapt flexibly to the shape of unstable products.
These grippers are particularly useful for applications where speed and gentle handling are required.
Magnetic grippers
are suitable for handling ferromagnetic materials such as iron and steel.
They are available as permanent or electromagnetic grippers, whereby the latter can be controlled by electrical energy to place and pick up objects.
These grippers are ideal for handling steel parts and destacking products.
They offer a reliable and robust solution for environments where high forces are required.
Adhesive grippers
offer solutions for situations in which vacuum grippers reach their limits.
They use microscopic hairs to adhere to objects without leaving marks thanks to strong Van der Waals forces.
This technology, originally developed by NASA, is particularly suitable for sensitive and porous materials and is now used successfully in various applications.
They offer an innovative solution for handling objects that are difficult to grip.
Our robotic arms are so precise and versatile that they can handle complex tasks with an ease that is unrivaled in the industry.
At EEP-Robotics, we pride ourselves on pushing the boundaries of what is possible with innovation.
